AVE MARIO DJ/PRODUCER

"Ave" Mario Langlois makes the very short list of Montreal DJs considered to be 'first wave', or part of the inception. 

Throughout the 80’s he began collecting vinyl and holding several residencies at the dawn of a scene performing his way through all the cities venues and festivals while catching the interest of the club goers and ravers alike.

AM doesn’t sleep.

He keeps busy producing ‘Klub Kultur, a monthly podcast on TekGroove.com, where he and guests mix up super vibey House that follows a spectrum of deep, tech and funky.

AM owns the label Klub Kultur Music dedicated to Electronic music.

Mario has always been  promoting electronic music on the radio.  In the 90's he was mixing tracks on CINQ FM Montreal, with his show Nuit de Rave and Jeudis Techno on CISM live from club Belmont. 

As a music producer, Mario also performed at RPM Toronto with his first band Vini Vidi Vici, opening for Dee-Lite with other artists, right after he formed the band Gel with Sean Mackenzie and Randall Hodgeman; the band performed in clubs and events and released a few tracks. Ave Mario was nominated at ADISQ for his collaboration on Millennium, a techno compilation with local DJs. At the beginning of the century, Mario created Klub Kultur, the radio show, and founded the Montreal Hi5 Collective with other artists. They released the album Session 01. 

With his new project SuperGroove, Ave Mario just released a house music EP called Tonight with singer David Gordon.
